No. 02 — Ninety-Five Pounds

My journey didn't begin with confidence

Since junior high school I have had a deep passion for physical fitness, but my journey didn't begin with confidence or knowing exactly what I was doing. I had just started playing football, I was lacking in confidence, and I could barely lift 95 pounds — in a room full of guys who were not struggling with it.

By the grace of God I continued to improve. I got stronger, more confident, more disciplined, and eventually it taught me a lesson I will never forget: sometimes the hardest part of fitness isn't the workout itself, it is believing that you can become something greater than you were yesterday.

No. 03 — In My Own Words

“I believe physical fitness does more than change your apperance. It gives you freedom! The freedom to move, to be active, to clear your mind, but most importantly to comfortably experience life and be there for your loved ones. That goes for me as well, because one day, when I become a father I want the blessing to keep up with my children and cherish every moment I can without being limited by my physical appearance, and it would be an honor and a blessing to give others the opportunity to do so as well.”Jeremiah Williams, Built with Purpose Fitness

No. 04 — Practice, Not Performance

Faith, a guitar, and why I coach this way

First, my faith is a very important part of who I am, because without it I wouldn't be blessed with all that I have. Outside of training I play my electric guitar to pass the time, and the two have taught me the same lesson. Nobody sounds good in the first week. You practice something small, badly, over and over, and one day it is clean and you barely noticed it happening.

That is exactly how I coach. Week one is not about impressing you with intensity, it is about you leaving thinking you could do that again on Thursday. I train at my clients pace. I am not the type to scream and push you so hard it becomes miserable. Everyone has their own level of intensity, and it is my job to cater to that while giving my professional expertise to reach the results you actually want.

Ultimately I don't just want to help people change how they look. I want to help them discover what they are capable of, become healthier and stronger, and build the confidence and physical ability to live the life that they want.
